🎙️ Vocal Delivery: Volume, Pace, Pitch, Pause, Emphasis
Volume
Speak loud enough for back row. Project from diaphragm (not throat). Vary: softer for confidential points, louder for excitement.
Pace / Rate
Normal speech: 140-160 words per minute. Speak slower for clarity (120-130 wpm). Pause after key sentences.
Pitch
Avoid monotone. Raise pitch for questions, excitement. Lower pitch for serious or concluding statements.
Pause (Power of Silence)
Pause 2-3 seconds after important points. Pause before transitions. Let ideas sink in. Use "um" replacement: pause instead.
Emphasis
Slow down and increase volume on key words: "This is critical for success."
💡 Warm up voice before speaking: hum, say tongue twisters ("Unique New York"), practice pitch slides.
